Pepe y Katja, su viaje a Laos.
Nuestro viaje en diciembre 2018, organizado completamente por Laos Increíble, era todo lo que nos esperábamos y más. Nosotros que ya hemos visto la mayoría de los países de Indochina sabíamos que la buena comida, el buen tiempo y la extraordinaria amabilidad de los lugareños era de esperar. Y así fue. Con la ayuda de nuestro guía hemos degustado todo tipo de comida, enamorándonos de la variedad de sopas, ensaladas y sobre todo el típico ¨laap¨, todo en versión ¨streetfood¨ fuera de los restaurantes turísticos.
Mas allá de esto, fue realmente sorprendente la inmensidad de los bosques y de una prístina naturaleza, visto deambulando en barco a lo largo del rio Mekong, haciendo trekking y visitando aldeas remotas. Laos sin duda es uno de los lugares mejor conservado del mundo que hemos visto. Gracias a Laos Increíble, nuestro fiel acompáñate y nuestro conductor Mr. Sak hemos podido experimentarlo de cerca, adentrándonos en los mercados locales, los colegios, los templos y las cases rurales y nos hemos sentido siempre bienvenidos. Al mismo tiempo es importante no olvidar que ese país esta marcado por los efectos de una guerra terrible y todavía por mucha pobreza. Como hemos dejado un trozo de nuestro corazón allí esperamos haber dejado también una ayuda para esa gente siempre amable y sonriendo. Sabaidee!!

Our trip in December of 2018, organized completely by Laos Increíble, has been everything we expected and then some. As we have already seen most of the other countries in Indochina we knew to expect great food, great weather and extraordinary hospitality from the locals. Absolutely true! Advised by our guide Mr Lon we tried all kinds of food and fell in love with the variety of noodle soups, salads and the typical ¨laap¨, all in their streetfood version and away from the tourist restaurants.
Beyond that, we were truly surprised with the beauty of Laos´ immense forests and untouched landscapes, seen from the boat traveling up the Mekong River, trekking in the forest and visiting remote villages. Undoubtedly Laos boasts one of the globe´s best-preserved environments. Thanks to Laos Increíble, our guide Mr. Lon and our driver Mr. Sak we were able to experience it close up, visiting local markets, schools, temples and rural homes where we were always made to feel welcome. Surrounded by so much beauty and hospitality it is easy to forget that this is also a country suffering the terrible effects of war and still struggling with poverty. Since we left a piece of heart behind we hope we were also able to help these magnificent, smiling people a little. Sabeidee!! Thank you, Laos Increíble, we shall return!
